Because of their length and their high quality, back sinews of red deer are perfect for laminated backings on wooden or composite bows. The lamination (backing) with shredded sinew prevents breakage and reinforces the bow. The sinew fibres can also be used for the traditional bow string splices. The material has already been processed down to individual fibres. When stored in dry conditions, the sinews will last almost indefinitely. Weight approx. 1 oz (29 g).
