The drawbore tenon joints that were used in medieval joinery are surprisingly strong. A wooden pin is hammered through slightly offset holes in the mortise side and tenon. The conical drawbore pins are used to pull the joint together. Made of O1 tool steel, 60-62 HRC, pin Ø at the base 11 mm, at the tip 2.8 mm. Overall length 305 mm.
